Rounding the center bush, head down, munching on the dry grass, he was totally oblivious to the fact that he was drawing ever nearer to the lounging felines. I was thinking that at any moment the lions were going to pounce on the ignorant creature. Talk about fast food! As the tension grew, the impala lifted his head and saw the predicament he was in. Springing a couple of feet into the air, he wheeled around and dashed behind the bush, his heart beating a mile a minute I am sure. The lions never moved an inch. Maybe their bellies were already full. However, the lion on the left looks a bit more ready to leap into action than the one on the right.
