A wonderfully protective mother eyes the camera. The newborn will spend some time closely attached to its mum, but slowly curiosity will get the better of it and it will set to exploring its nearby world. As an adolescent they can become quite cheeky (sound familiar to any parents out there) trying to steal food or other items from the safari vehicles. Baboons are among my favourite species of primate.
