The second small park I visited in Kenya was Lake Bogoria. A taxi dropped me off at the park entrance and then in the middle of the day with full pack I hiked 13 kilometers into the park to the campsite at the hot springs. The walking was very enjoyable as you don´t often get the chance to do any in the larger safari parks. There, a vehicle is almost always a requirement, whereas walking here allows you to enjoy a certain kind of freedom. This photo was taken from the shade of some lakeside trees on one of my rest breaks ´cause the day was kind of a scorcher.
