Mbale is a few hours from Jinja by bus and the place to arrange visits to nearby Mt.Elgon National Park. I was going up the Sasa River trail to Wagagai peak and then coming down the Sipi Falls trail. The whole trek lasts the better part of 5 days. This picture taken on the road just outside Rose´s Last Chance guesthouse and about 50 meters from the trailhead was a harbinger of things to come. Moments of unsurpassed beauty and times of torrential downpour.
